This book has been a journey of trials, hopes, and passion. My wife Kimberley and I started writing this book in the first 10 years of our marriage, when everything was perfect in our lives. I was blessed to have everything: everything was paid for, a beautiful house in San Francisco, a business that was flourishing, and a wife who loved me with every breath she took. We began to write this book on fine dining, Passion, Romance, and Intimacy. It was everywhere in everything; every touch that was given was magnified, our true love moment by moment along with the inexhaustible desire to love one another with our faith in God and the Perfect example in CHRIST with all power in the Holy Spirit.
Through the JOURNEY of LIFE, after 20 yeas of a perfect marriage, I prepared my wife to make her transition to a Heavenly Place.
So I began to put words on paper for the book, titled Cookbook for Lovers. After I opened and closed my restaurant on the San Francisco Bay, a friend introduced me to a lady who would become my close friend and prayer partner. As we embarked on our spiritual journey, we travelled to a little town called Winslow, Arizona. There I saw dust storms created our of nowhere and all white snowy mornings that covered everything in sight. It was a beauty that would take your breath away. I discovered the LA Posada Hotel, hidden in the desert among many new friends.
They seemed to have a mind of their own, blowing around throughout the open desert, stopping at stoplights, and going about where they desire. They were hidden around a corner or piled up against a rock. These were the Tumbleweeds. They were one of my many gifts along the way in this journey through Arizona. They brought me joy, peace, and love.
In preparing to bring my friend’s very sick mother and aunty, who were both in their late 80s, back to California, I figured that Arizona would be a nice get away from the ups and downs of California life. I did not know what I was about to experience coming to Winslow, a small community of 9,000 people at an elevation of 5,000 feet.
What would come next changed my life for the richer. I experience a dying mother and a faithful daughter who watched and prepared her mother to cross over. In the midst of helping and supporting them on that journey, I spent my evening at La Posada, which was built in the 1920s nestled in the desert. The name meant “a bird in the desert.” It was the last train station hotel in the country and it had been preserved and renovated to its original architecture. I continued to write and finish the book, Cookbook for Lovers.
During my stay in Winslow, just as my friendship with the Tumbleweeds increased, so did my Ministry and revelation of the words I was expressing of True Love and Marriage also increased.
I now hereby present to you this final product that has gone through many transformations and changes. This is a book that offers a guarantee to make changes in your marriage and relationship. If you follow the instructions and teachings, you will receive the gift and blessings of true love. I present to you the new title: The Perfect Marriage Workbook: Eat, Drink, and Be Married. Enjoy!
May the favor of God be upon your marriage and life, as it is and was upon mine.
